Markaz Business Suite is a SaaS (Software as a Service) platform operated from Dubai, UAE, providing business management software for IT stores and typing centers. We are the data controller for information collected through our platform at markaz.cloudg6.com.

2. What Data We Collect
Account & Business Data
- Your name, email address, phone number, emirate
- Company name, trade licence number, TRN (Tax Registration Number)
- Business address and contact details
Customer Data (entered by you)
- Your customers' names, passport numbers, Emirates IDs
- Visa numbers, visa expiry dates, visa types
- Scanned document copies (passport, Emirates ID, visa)
- Phone numbers and email addresses of your customers
Financial Data
- Sales invoices, purchase records, expense data
- VAT transaction records for UAE FTA compliance
- Bank account details (for invoice footer only)
Technical Data
- IP address, browser type, login timestamps
- Session data for security purposes
- Error logs (no personal data)
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and operate the Markaz platform
- To send document expiry reminders to your customers
- To generate UAE VAT invoices and Form 201 reports
- To send subscription renewal notices to you
- To provide customer support
- To improve the platform (anonymized analytics only)
- To comply with UAE legal requirements
We never sell your data or your customers' data to any third party.
4. Multi-Tenant Data Isolation
Markaz is a multi-tenant platform. Your business data is completely isolated from all other businesses using Markaz. We enforce strict technical controls:
- Every database query is filtered by your unique tenant ID
- No cross-tenant data access is possible at any level
- Our platform administrators can only see your account metadata (name, email, plan) — never your business transactions, customer records, or financial data
- Document files are stored outside the web directory and served only through authenticated requests
5. Data Storage & Security
- All data is stored on servers in compliance with UAE data residency principles
- Passwords are encrypted using bcrypt hashing — we cannot read your password
- All connections are encrypted via HTTPS/SSL
- Uploaded documents are stored outside the public web directory
- We perform automated security scans and backups daily
- Login attempts are monitored — 5 failed attempts triggers a 15-minute lockout
6. Data Retention
- Active accounts: data retained for the duration of your subscription
- After account termination: all data permanently deleted within 30 days
- Audit logs: retained for 12 months for security purposes
- You can request immediate data deletion by contacting us
7. Your Rights Under UAE PDPL
Under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
- Restriction: Request we stop processing your data
- Portability: Receive your data in a readable format
- Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent at any time

8. Third-Party Services
Markaz uses the following third-party services:
- Groq AI API: For AI document scanning and business assistant (anonymized queries only)
- Hostinger: Web hosting provider (UAE-region servers)
- Meta WhatsApp Business API: For sending notifications (when configured)
- SMTP Email: For sending email notifications
Each third-party provider has their own privacy policy. We share only the minimum data necessary for each service.
9. Cookies
Markaz uses only essential cookies required for the platform to function:
- Session cookie: Keeps you logged in (expires after 30 minutes of inactivity)
- CSRF token: Protects against cross-site request forgery attacks
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies.
10. Children's Privacy
Markaz is a business platform intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided data to us, please contact us immediately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Markaz after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
