1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account and using Markaz, you confirm that you:
- Are at least 18 years old
- Have the legal authority to enter into this agreement
- Are using Markaz for lawful business purposes in the UAE
- Agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy
2. The Service
Markaz provides cloud-based business management software including:
- IT Store management (POS, inventory, sales, purchases, accounting)
- Typing Center management (customer CRM, services, invoicing)
- UAE VAT compliance tools (Form 201, VAT ledger)
- AI-powered features (document scanning, business assistant)
- Document expiry reminder system
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
3. Free Trial & Subscription
- Free Trial: 60 days from registration — no credit card required
- After Trial: Subscription at AED 2,000/year (AED 5.48/day)
- Payment: Bank transfer or card payment as configured
- No Refunds: Annual subscriptions are non-refundable after 14 days of paid period
- Suspension: Non-payment may result in account suspension after 7-day grace period
- Data: Your data is retained for 30 days after suspension before permanent deletion
4. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials secure and confidential
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Ensuring data you enter complies with UAE laws (including customer consent)
- Accurate VAT reporting — Markaz provides tools but you are responsible for FTA compliance
- Maintaining valid trade licence and TRN information
- Not sharing your account with unauthorized parties
- Promptly notifying us of any unauthorized access to your account
5. Data Ownership
- Your data belongs to you. Markaz does not claim ownership of any business data you enter
- You grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely to provide the Service
- You can export or request your data at any time
- Upon termination, all your data is permanently deleted within 30 days
6. Prohibited Uses
You must not use Markaz to:
- Store false, fraudulent, or illegal business records
- Violate UAE federal laws or emirate-level regulations
- Attempt to access other tenants' data
- Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Markaz platform
- Upload malicious files or code
- Use the platform for money laundering or illegal financial activities
- Store data of individuals without their knowledge or consent
7. Limitation of Liability
- Markaz is provided "as is" — we do not guarantee 100% uptime
- We are not liable for VAT filing errors — always verify with a qualified accountant
- Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months
- We are not liable for data loss due to your own actions or force majeure events
- We maintain daily backups but cannot guarantee recovery in all circumstances
8. Intellectual Property
- Markaz Business Suite, its logo, code, and design are our intellectual property
- You may not copy, modify, or resell any part of the Markaz platform
- Your business data and any content you create remain your property
- "Markaz" name and logo are pending trademark registration with UAE Ministry of Economy
9. Termination
- By You: Cancel anytime — contact us via WhatsApp or email
- By Us: We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms with 7 days notice
- Immediate termination for serious violations (fraud, illegal activity, hacking attempts)
- After termination, you have 30 days to request a data export before deletion
10. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Dubai, UAE. We encourage resolving disputes amicably first — contact us before initiating any legal proceedings.
